A new Physics World special report examines the challenges for physicist in India


The latest special report by Physics World, focuses on physics in India. The report reveals that money is not in short supply for the country`s top researchers, but that India lacks a critical concentration of highly capable scientists who can make the nation a world leader in research and boost innovation. To turn things round, the Indian government is now investing in a series of major research facilities and educational initiatives to attract the country`s best students into science. The report examines these issues in more detail- and also includes a Physics World podcast on the challenges facing India`s physics students.
